Sushi Night Spring 2011

This semester's Sushi Night is coming up at the end of August!

Sushi Night is one of the JASS regular events, where everyone makes Japanese home-party style "Temakizushi (Hand-rolled sushi)" and make new friends!

Date: Monday 29 August

Time: 6:30pm

Venue: The Glasshouse Bar (Stage area), UTS Tower Building

Cost: To be announced

*RSVP is not essential for this event.

We are calling for volunteers to help out preparation before the event - please comment if you have time on the day!

Now we have settled timetables for all the levels except Beginners+!

Here are the times and rooms:

Beginners (1) by Deniz and Asuka

Thursdays 4:00-5:30pm

Spring! - Clubs Day/Info Session/Welcome BBQ!

1. JASS@Clubs Day

Thursday August 11 is UTS Union's Clubs Day!
Every student society will have a stall for new students.
If you didn't sign up last semester, please find us at the Tower! :)

For new members, it costs:
$5 for both non-AP and AP members
The membership will be valid until the end of 2011.
Remember to take your UTS/INSEARCH student ID with you!

If you already signed up last semester, you don't have to pay again; your membership will be valid till the end of the year!
But make sure you come and say hi!

2. Welcome BBQ at Coogee Beach!

Here's the first event of JASS for Semester 2, Welcome BBQ!
Let's enjoy meat vegetable yakisoba and so forth!
The venue is Coogee Beach.
When it's cold, it's cold anywhere anyway - so everyone, let's finger-cross for a good weather!!!

Date: Sat August 13
Time: 12:00pm
Venue: Coogee Beach
You can catch a bus to Coogee from Railway Square (Central Station).

Cost for the event are:
$4 for JASS members
$8 for non-JASS members

3. Intro Session for Japanese Language Lessons

I know you've been waiting for this!
Yes, the Japanese lessons will resume this semester!
We will have an introduction session for those want to attend the lessons.
This is not a proper class but this is where you meet up with new teachers and assistant teachers!
