The Japanese Australian Student Society at UTS' Annual General Meeting 2010 is to be held on Thursday 16 September 3-5pm in (venue tba) where a new committee will be elected.

JASS aims to provide cross cultural relationships between Japanese exchange students and local Australian students. JASS is passionate about promoting friendship between people of common interests. Not just at UTS, but also between universities (in particular our participation with Japanese Associations Combined) and also in the community.

Why should I join the JASS team?
These are voluntary based positions, however, the JASS execs team can be a learning platform for your personal development, as well as your workforce skills development.

You DO NOT have to be Japanese or be able to speak Japanese to seat these positions.

If you would like to find how to join JASS-UTS Execs team and the requirements please download the attached file on this page and follow the instructions to send an expression of interest form and attend the JASS-UTS Annual General meeting for voting.

Good Luck

Best Wishes

Hi everyone,

Our popular free Japanese and English classes are starting up again! Big yay!

This Wednesday August 11 5pm to 6pm, we will have the Introduction to Japanese session at CB02.07.110 .

During that time, we will split you guys into three classes: beginners, intermediate and advanced. It's very flexible so you are not stuck in it so feel free to switch levels if you feel one is too hard. Note also, you can pay for JASS membership that day if you haven't already.

English classes will begin from Week 3 onwards.
